Who We Are
The Glasgow Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) is a community-driven initiative designed to boost local tourism and support economic growth. A TBID is a collaborative funding mechanism where local hotels and motels within Glasgow city limits collect a small assessment from overnight guests. These funds are then reinvested into our community to promote and enhance events, activities, and tournaments that attract visitors and encourage longer stays.
The Glasgow TBID is committed to strengthening our local economy by increasing tourism. From supporting major events like the Montana Governor's Cup Walleye Tournament to hosting regional school sports tournaments and cultural festivals, our goal is to showcase Glasgow as a vibrant destination. The funds help cover event promotion, marketing campaigns, and other strategic initiatives that benefit not just the tourism industry but also local businesses and residents.
Decisions on how the funds are spent are made by representatives from Glasgow’s hotels and motels. This ensures that the investments align with the needs of the hospitality industry while fostering a positive impact on our community. By working together, we’re creating opportunities for growth and making Glasgow a must-visit destination in Montana.
Through the TBID, we’re building a brighter future for Glasgow—one event, one tournament, and one visitor at a time.
